Workplace Shooting Investigated

Milwaukee Police are investigating a workplace shooting that left two men dead last night.

At about 6 p.m. on August 2, 2012, Milwaukee Police responded to a report of a shooting inside a manufacturing plant, Trans-Coil International, 7878 N. 86th Street. Upon arrival officers discovered two men with gunshot wounds inside the business.

A 58-year-old male supervisor had been shot multiple times by a 23-year-old male employee of the business. That 58-year-old victim was conveyed to a local hospital, but he later died from his injuries. The 23-year-old suspect was also found inside the building and he appears to have died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

We are not releasing the victim’s or the suspect’s identities at this time.
