A woman is arrested by officers from District Five of the Milwaukee Police Department after she cut an officer with a razor. Just before 1 am on July 24, officers responded to the 4500 block of N. 27th Street for a complaint of shots fired. During the course of their investigation, a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman interfered with officers who were taking her boyfriend into custody. The woman tried to jump on one of the officers and tried to push another officer. As the woman was being placed into the back seat of the squad car, she was clutching a large set of keys in her hands. The officer told her she couldn’t have the keys in the squad car at which time the woman struggled with the officer and cut him with a razor that was hidden between the keys. The officer suffered a laceration to his finger that required several stitches. He is 23-years-old with four years of service and is assigned to District Five. MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney in the coming days.
