WEEKEND UPDATE: MPD Investigating Unrelated August 16 Shootings

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 12:40 a.m. on August 16 in the 1600 block of N. 31st Street.  The victim, a 51-year-old man, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and is being treated at a local hospital. The shooting is prostitution/robbery-related.  MPD continues to search for suspects and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a double shooting that happened around 2:00 a.m. on August 16 in the 700 block of S. Cesar Chavez Drive.  The victims are a 34-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman.  Both victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and are being treated at a local hospital.  There was some type of altercation/ argument at a bar at the above location.  As the two victims exited the bar an unknown subject fired shots and the victims were struck. They do not appear to be the intended targets. MPD continues to search for suspects and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
