Two armed robbery suspects, including a convicted felon, are arrested by officers from District Five of the Milwaukee Police Department for an armed robbery. Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of N. Bremen Street at about 1:40 p.m. on November 9 for a report of an armed robbery. The victims, a 24-year-old woman and a 45-year-old woman, told officers they were in a park when the suspect approached. The suspect pulled out a knife, grabbed purses from both women, and then fled in a vehicle driven by another suspect. About two hours later, one of the victims contacted police and said her stolen credit card had just been used at a business in the 1200 block of W. North Avenue. Officers responded to that location and saw two men matching the suspects’ description inside a vehicle. A knife and two credit cards belonging to the victims were located in the vehicle. Both men, a 24-year-old Milwaukee man and a 43-year-old Milwaukee man, were taken into custody. The 43-year-old man has a lengthy criminal record dating back to 1990 that includes a 2002 felony armed robbery conviction. Milwaukee Police will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
