UPDATE: Child Found Safe Following False Abduction Claim

Milwaukee Police are investigating an auto theft that happened on December 12th, around 10:25 a.m. in the 2500 block of W. Becher Street.  Two suspects obtained the victim’s vehicle which was parked but running. They fled in the victim’s vehicle and the vehicle they arrived in. Inside the victim’s vehicle was a 4-year old child. The victim’s vehicle has been recovered but the child is still missing.

Suspect description- 2 black males last seen driving a dark gray or navy blue Mazda SUV.

Missing Child- Jamareiyonna L Buchanan-Murdock, black female, 4-years old, 3 feet tall, last seen wearing a black jacket over a pink hooded sweatshirt and green boots; she was seen seated in a pink and black front facing car seat that is also still missing.

An Amber Alert is also being created at this time and a picture of the child may follow when it is available. Anyone with information is asked to call 414-935-7360. If suspects or the child are seen call 911.

UPDATE (12/12/17 at 12:40 p.m.):  The victim’s vehicle was recovered near 95th and Brown Deer Road.

UPDATE (12/12/17 at 1:00 p.m.): The missing child has been safely located at school. Further investigation has revealed the abduction to be falsely reported by the child’s father, who has been arrested.  The investigation is ongoing.
