Milwaukee Police arrested two suspects wanted in two early morning armed robberies. District One officers responded to the 300 block of E. Wells Street at about 1:30 a.m. on April 13 for a report of an armed robbery. At the scene, a 41-year-old Milwaukee man told officers he was walking on the sidewalk when he was approached by two subjects. The two males struck the victim and stole his cell phone and wallet and fled the scene. About ten minutes later, officers in the area saw two males matching the descriptions of the suspects in the 100 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue. The two males, a 16-year-old and 23-year-old from Milwaukee, had the suspect’s stolen cell phone and wallet on them and were taken into custody. They were also in possession of another stolen cell phone which was stolen from a 33-year-old Milwaukee woman in the 600 block of E. Pleasant Street about an hour earlier. MPD will present charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
