Two suspects are arrested and Milwaukee Police are seeking a third suspect following a robbery at Shaker’s Cigar Bar, 422 S. 2nd Street. District Two officers responded to the scene at about 5:30 p.m. on December 3 after a report of an armed robbery. A suspect walked into the bar with a gun, took money from the register, and punched a male employee before fleeing in a vehicle with two other suspects. Officers from District Five found the vehicle a short time later in the 400 block of W. Clarke Street and took the driver and passenger of the car, a 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, into custody. Police are still searching for the third suspect. The three suspects are also believed to have committed previous armed robberies earlier that day at businesses in the 200 block of W. Wells Street and the 2000 block of N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and several robberies in outside jurisdictions. MPD will present charges against the suspects to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
