Milwaukee Police officers arrested two suspects following a carjacking and chase on the City’s North Side. Around 10:00 p.m. on April 29, the officers saw a vehicle in the area of N. 25th Street and W. Townsend Street that had recently been taken in an armed carjacking. The subjects fled and officers pursued the vehicle until it lost control ten minutes later and spun out at the intersection of N. 76th Street and W. Capitol Drive. The subjects once again attempted to flee but struck a parked marked squad car causing them to stop, at which point they were taken into custody. The suspects, a 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old man both from Milwaukee, were transported to a local hospital after complaining of minor injuries and were released a short time later. The vehicle had been taken on April 27 on Milwaukee’s South Side. A loaded semi-automatic pistol was recovered from the vehicle. Our investigation into this incident is ongoing.
