Milwaukee Police arrested three teenage suspects for a strong armed robbery after they stole a cell phone from a 12-year-old victim. District Three officers responded to the 2400 block of N. 48th Street around 3:20 p.m. on May 13 where they talked with the male victim. He told officers he was walking on the sidewalk when three suspects approached him. One of the suspects grabbed his phone while another struck him and then all three suspects fled on foot. As officers searched the area, a neighbor came forward and said the suspects were still in the area of N. 45th Street and W. North Avenue. The officers found the suspects and after a brief foot chase all three were taken into custody. One of the suspects admitted to grabbing the phone from the victim. The suspects are a 14-year-old male, a 15-year-old male, and a 16-year-old male, all from Milwaukee. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
