Three teenage suspects are arrested by Milwaukee Police after a Downtown armed robbery. District One officers responded to the robbery in the 100 block of W. Wells Street at about 11:10 p.m. on April 18 where they spoke with two female victims. The women told officers that they were in a parking lot when three suspects approached them, one of them with a gun, and demanded their belongings. The suspects took one of the victim’s phones and her purse and fled on foot. Officers on patrol in the area saw the three suspects in the 600 block of N. Water Street where they were arrested. Several of the items belonging to the victim, including her driver’s license and wallet, were found on the sidewalk between where the robbery happened and where the arrests took place. Officers also found an airsoft gun on the sidewalk near the crime scene. The suspects are a 14-year-old male and two 15-year-old males from Milwaukee. MPD will present charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
