Three Teenage Suspects Arrested in South Side Carjacking

With the help of officers from the West Allis Police Department, Milwaukee Police have three juveniles in custody suspected of carjacking two elderly victims on Milwaukee’s South Side. District Six officers responded to the area of S. 76th Street and W. Howard Avenue around 5:15 p.m. on May 25 where two victims, an 80-year-old woman and her 74-year-old husband, reported a carjacking. The couple exited their 2003 Chevrolet Malibu when they were approached by four suspects. One of the suspects grabbed the car keys from the woman and with the other three suspects drove off in the Malibu. A short time later, the car crashed in the 7500 block of W. Jackson Drive and with the help of an alert citizen, officers from the West Allis Police Department quickly arrested three of the four suspects. The suspects are a 13-year-old male and two 14-year-old males who are now in MPD custody. Milwaukee Police continue to seek the fourth suspect and will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges in the coming days.
