The Milwaukee Police Department arrested three individuals believed to be responsible for a string of residential burglaries in two separate Milwaukee neighborhoods beginning in mid-March and continuing until April 8th. The suspects, who are ages 16, 17, and 18 and from Milwaukee, have been linked to seven residential burglaries in the Sherman Park Neighborhood. The concentrated area is roughly bounded by W. Burleigh Street, W. Roosevelt Drive, N. Sherman Boulevard, and N. 51st Street. The suspects have also been linked to two residential burglaries within the Murray Hill Neighborhood on Milwaukee’s East Side. Most of these burglaries were committed late at night or in the early morning hours. The suspects entered the homes through ground floor windows and stole money, electronics, and keys to vehicles. Investigative efforts by detectives assigned to Milwaukee Police Department’s North Investigations Division and police officers assigned to District Seven identified and apprehended the suspects, and recovered several items of stolen property. The investigation is continuing and additional charges from the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office may be forthcoming.
