Two Milwaukee teenagers are arrested and are facing charges because of keen observations by officers from District 7 of the Milwaukee Police Department. On April 12 at approximately 10:45 pm, officers saw two occupants in a minivan throwing objects into the alley in the 4600 block of N. 39th Street. As the officers approached the vehicle, two teenage males fled on foot. The officers caught up with the suspects in the 4500 block of N. 39th Street and took them into custody. The owner of the minivan confirmed his vehicle had been stolen, but not yet reported, in the 3700 block of N. 41st Street.
The two suspects are a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, both from Milwaukee. They face charges of Operating an Automobile Without Owner’s Consent, Resisting an Officer, and curfew violations. The 16-year-old has a previous arrest for Operating an Automobile Without Owner’s Consent and is currently on probation for auto theft. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
