Milwaukee Police arrested two teenagers and recovered the weapon they used in a Northwest Side attempted armed robbery. District Seven officers responded to the 6700 block of W. Hampton Avenue around 6:05 a.m. on August 3 where they met with the victim, a 42-year-old man. The victim said he was trying to open the door to a business when two suspects approached him, pointed a gun at him, and demanded his property. The victim was able to prevent the suspects from getting anything and the suspects fled on foot.
Officers on patrol located the suspects a short time later in the 7300 block of W. Courtland Avenue and took them into custody. Officers also found a black BB gun believed to have been used in the crime near one of the suspects. The suspects arrested are a 14-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, both with previous arrest records. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
