A teenage suspect is arrested by District Five officers of the Milwaukee Police Department for a strong armed robbery involving a juvenile. Officers responded to the 2700 block of N. Buffum Street just after 4:00 p.m. on November 21. The victim, a 12-year-old Milwaukee girl, told officers that she was walking when two suspects approached her and one of the suspects began striking her. During this time, the victim’s cell phone fell from her pocket and one of the suspects took it. The two suspects then fled on foot. The victim told officers that she recognized one of the suspects from school. Officers located that suspect, a 13-year-old Milwaukee female, at her home in the 1100 block of E. Singer Circle and arrested her. When officers took her into custody, they found the stolen cell phone. Police are still searching for the other suspect. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
