A team made up of the MPD Tactical Enforcement Unity, the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives were serving the warrant at approximately 1 p.m. on August 15 at a residence in the 4700 block of N. 30th Street. The purpose of the warrant was in connection with a drug dealing and firearm investigation. When officers attempted to gain entry into the residence, at least one shot was fired at them. The officers were not injured and did not fire their weapons. A male suspect was taken into custody for firing at the officers. Two other men and two women were taken into custody in relation to the drug investigation. MPD will present charges against the suspects to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
