Milwaukee Police arrested a suspect, who was being sought for several robberies, following his most recent robbery at a Northwest Side bank. Officers responded to the U.S. Bank at 9921 W. Capitol Drive around 11:20 a.m. on February 8 for a report of a robbery. A male suspect walked into the bank and demanded money from a teller before he fled from the scene. Through video surveillance, MPD detectives positively identified the suspect as a 54-year-old Milwaukee man. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle around 4:00 p.m. in the 900 block of N. 14th Street and took him into custody. The suspect, a convicted felon with a criminal record dating back to 1990, is believed to have committed at least five other similar robberies in the past week. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
