Milwaukee Police arrested a suspect wanted in the armed robbery of an East Side convenience store. Officers were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy at 1650 N. Farwell Avenue at about 10:00 p.m. on September 16. A store employee told officers that a suspect entered the store, picked up some items, and gave the employee a demand note saying that he had a gun. The suspect stole cash from the register and fled on foot. Squads in the area observed a suspect matching the description and initiated a foot pursuit before taking the suspect into custody in the 1600 block of E. Irving Place. The suspect is a 21-year-old Milwaukee man. Milwaukee Police will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
