A Milwaukee man is arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a McDonald’s after his vehicle is spotted near the crime scene. The Milwaukee County District Attorney charged 20-year-old Glenn L. Sharp Jr. with one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Attempted Armed Robbery.
At approximately 3:10 am on January 11, prosecutors say Sharp attempted to rob the McDonald’s in the 5100 block of N. Teutonia Avenue but was unable to get away with anything. On January 12, at approximately 2:50 am, Sharp is charged with robbing the McDonald’s in the 5700 block of W. Silver Spring Drive. According to the victim, Sharp pointed a gun at an employee in the drive-thru window and stole $344 from the register before he fled. At approximately 1:10 am the next night, January 13, officers responded to the same McDonald’s location on W. Silver Spring Drive after an employee recognized a car in the parking lot that matched the car the robbery suspect was driving the night before. Officers spotted the car matching the description and performed a traffic stop in the 5500 block of W. Silver Spring Drive. Sharp was taken into custody and admitted to detectives his role in both crimes. He has since been released on $500 cash bond.
