Suspect Arrested After Nearly 5 Hour Northwest Side Standoff

Officers from District Four of the Milwaukee Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 3400 block of W. Mill Road around 7:40 p.m. on August 1.  As the officers moved towards the scene, they saw a subject, who upon seeing the officers, fled into a nearby factory. For the next couple of hours, officers engaged the subject in verbal dialog working towards a peaceful resolution.  Around 12:10 a.m., the subject was taken into custody without incident or injury to officers or the subject. The subject, a 23-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant. The investigation into the original shots fire is ongoing.
