District Seven officers of the Milwaukee Police Department arrested a suspect believed to have fired shots outside of a home. Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of N. 52nd Street at 11:40 a.m. on September 25. Officers found three shell casings in the roadway at the scene. A witness told officers he heard the shots and then saw a vehicle flee and officers quickly located it in the 7700 block of W. Capitol Drive. When the officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver fled on foot but was taken into custody in the 3900 block of N. 76th Street. A semi-automatic handgun was found inside the car. The suspect is a 19-year-old Milwaukee man. MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
