Sergeant Arrests Suspect in Damage of Police Squad Cars

A 17-year-old Milwaukee male is under arrest after a Milwaukee Police Department sergeant discovered him damaging police squad cars in District 5’s parking lot. At around 9:45 pm on December 9, the sergeant discovered the male holding a fire extinguisher and damaging the rear window of an unmarked squad car in a parking lot in the 2900 block of N. 4th Street. Upon further inspection, the sergeant found damage to a total of seven windows on four squads. There was no further damage to any city owned property and no personally owned vehicles were damaged. Districts 4 and 7 provided spare squads to help out District 5.

The suspect was taken into custody. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
