A second suspect has been charged in the fatal shooting at the Concertina Bar located at 1920 S. 37th Street in Milwaukee. The Milwaukee County District Attorney has charged 25-year-old Joel Rivera, of Sturtevant, with felony murder. Rivera and two other suspects, 22-year-old Jose Munoz and 23-year-old Carmelo Matos-Arzola, held up the bar with a gun on August 16, 2013. The owner of the bar shot and killed Matos-Arzola in self-defense. Rivera and Munoz, who was shot and injured, fled the scene and were later located and arrested in Illinois.
Rivera has been charged with the death of Matos-Arzola, while attempting to commit armed robbery party to a crime. At the time of the crime, Rivera was on probation for a previous armed robbery. If convicted, he faces up to 35 years in prison.
