Prolific Theft Suspect Arrested by District One Officers

District One officers arrested a prolific theft suspect after witnesses saw him break into a car on Milwaukee’s East Side. The officers responded to the area of N. Farwell Avenue and E. Irving Place around 2:20 p.m. on February 22 after a witness saw the suspect rummaging through a van. Responding officers located the man in the 1600 block of E. Irving Place and took him into custody. The suspect, a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, is believed to have committed at least nine similar crimes in the past week in District One. The suspect had just recently been released from prison, has a criminal record dating back to 2005, and has been arrested by MPD more than a dozen times in his lifetime on various charges. MPD will take this current case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
