District 2 officers and members of the Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) escape injury after being fired at while serving a search warrant. The incident occurred around 5:50 pm on December 11 at a residence in the 1500 block of S. 25th Street. When making entry into the residence, an occupant fired four shots through a wall nearly striking officers who were positioned outside. No shots were fired by any of the officers, however one officer was hit by debris but wasn’t seriously injured. Officers were able to make entry to the residence and confiscated two firearms and drugs.
Six suspects were taken into custody. They are a 22-year-old Milwaukee man, 33-year-old Milwaukee man, 36-year-old Milwaukee man, 50-year-old Milwaukee man, 25-year-old Milwaukee woman, and a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman. Two of those suspects are convicted felons. Possible charges include Assault on Law Enforcement Officer and weapons violations. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
