A convicted felon is arrested by District Three officers from the Milwaukee Police Department after he fired shots outside of a north side home. Officers were patrolling the 2500 block of N. 35th Street at about 5:50 p.m. on August 19 when they heard multiple shots coming from an alley a block away. As they approached the area, the officers saw a man running away and dropping his semi-automatic handgun. He was taken into custody in the 2500 block of N. 34th Street. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect, a 27-year-old Milwaukee man, shot the gun in a yard and witnesses positively identified him. He is a convicted felon with convictions in 2005 and 2007 on drug-related charges and an arrest record dating back ten years. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office will consider charges in the coming days.
