Officers from District 7 of the Milwaukee Police Department arrested a subject after he shot a gun towards people attending a house party. The officers came upon a party in the 5000 block of N. 32nd Street at approximately 11:30 pm on July 19. Several people were walking in the area and officers noticed a man fire six rounds from a handgun toward the party. When officers tried to approach him, he ignored their commands, fled on foot and threw the gun into a gangway. After a brief foot chase, officers took him into custody in the 3000 block of W. Cameron Avenue. The suspect is a 20-year-old Milwaukee man. He faces potential charges of Recklessly Endangering Safety, Resisting an Officer and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. The case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
