Officer Arrested Following Citizen Complaint, MPD Investigation

Following up on a citizen complaint, the Milwaukee Police Department Internal Affairs Division initiated an investigation into allegations of on-duty criminal activity by a Milwaukee Police Officer.

After an investigation into the allegations, an integrity audit was conducted and the officer was arrested following his shift on December 18, 2012.

The officer is alleged to have violated state law and department policy in addition to violating the Milwaukee Police Department’s Code of Conduct. We will be seeking criminal charges of misconduct in public office and theft.

The officer is a 37-year-old male with 8 years of service at the MPD. He is assigned to the Neighborhood Policing Bureau. He is currently suspended with pay in accordance with state law. A separate criminal and internal investigation are ongoing at this time.
