Within minutes of a crime, alert officers assigned to the Milwaukee Police Department’s Neighborhood Task Force arrest two attempted armed robbery suspects. The officers were on patrol in the 2400 block of N. Sherman Boulevard around 6:40 pm on December 28 when a 21-year-old Milwaukee man flagged them down. The man told the officers two males just tried to rob him and were getting away. The officers were able to catch the two suspects, a 17-year-old Milwaukee male and an 18-year-old Milwaukee man, and arrest them. The victim claimed one of the suspects pointed a black BB gun at his head and tried to rob him while the other acted as a lookout. The victim said he didn’t have any valuables with him and the two suspects fled on foot. Officers retrieved the gun in a nearby snow bank.
Both suspects will face felony attempted armed robbery charges. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
