The Milwaukee Police Department received fourteen total calls Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from citizens who reported seeing an animal they believed to be a lion. Milwaukee Police investigated each of these calls, and with the exception of the July 25 call near N. 30th Street and W. Fairmount Avenue, officers were unable to locate the animal. When responding to the area, a sergeant saw what could be a large, wild cat. Additional resources were sent and the area was contained and searched. The animal was not located. There is nothing further to share at this time.
