Milwaukee Police officers arrested three teenage suspects after they were found in a stolen car on the city’s North Side. District One officers responded to the 1400 block of N. Humboldt Avenue around 4:00 p.m. on June 22 for a report of a strong-armed robbery. The victim, a 30-year-old Milwaukee woman, told officers she was exiting her vehicle when two suspects approached her and demanded the keys to her car. The victim struggled with the suspects but they took the keys and fled from the scene in her 2006 Chrysler 300. Around 5:30 p.m. on June 25, District Five officers located that vehicle in the 800 block of W. Essex Lane. As officers approached the car, several subjects inside fled the scene on foot. Three of those suspects, a 12-year-old male, a 13-year-old male, and a 16-year-old male, all from Milwaukee, were taken into custody. The keys to the car were found in the 16-year-old’s pocket. MPD continues to investigate whether these suspects are responsible for other recent incidents and will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
