Officers from District 2 of the Milwaukee Police Department, along with officers from the Neighborhood Task Force, arrest two juvenile armed robbery suspects. The two suspects, both 16-year-old males from Milwaukee, stopped the victim, a 53-year-old Milwaukee man, as he was walking down the 1300 block of W. Grant Street around 9:45 am on December 18. The victim says the suspects robbed him at gunpoint of cash and his cell phone. After the crime, the victim flagged down a nearby officer who was able to broadcast a description of the suspects.
Within minutes, officers were able to locate both suspects in the 1400 block of W. Grant Street and the 1400 block of W. Becher Street. Officers found the loaded semi-automatic pistol used in the crime and the stolen wallet in two separate garbage cans. The stolen cell phone was found in the possession of one of the suspects. The suspects face charges including armed robbery and truancy. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
