A Milwaukee Police officer is recovering at home after he was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run on Milwaukee’s West Side. The uniformed officer was arresting a man for driving a stolen car in the 4700 block of W. Locust Street around 10:00 p.m. on February 1. The arrest took place while both the officer and the subject were standing in the street. A vehicle traveling eastbound on W. Locust Street struck the officer and the subject being arrested. Both the officer and the arrested subject were injured in the accident. They were conveyed to a local hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. After striking the officer and the subject, the vehicle fled the scene. At this point the vehicle has not been located.
