The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a crash that happened around 4:00 p.m. on March 6 in the 7600 block of W. Burleigh Street. According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling westbound on W. Burleigh Street at a high rate of speed and the driver began to lose control of the vehicle. After skidding onto the sidewalk, the vehicle struck a fire hydrant, flipped onto its side and came to rest against a brick wall. At least one of the four occupants had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Milwaukee Fire Department. The last medical report was that all of the occupants received minor injuries from the accident. Further medical evaluations were being conducted at a local hospital. The circumstances that led to the accident are still being investigated.
