Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened around 12:45 p.m. on March 30 inside a residence in the 8100 block of W. Villard Avenue. An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman suffered a gunshot wound during circumstances that are still under investigation. At this time it is unknown if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted and the investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE (3/30/16 at 4:40 p.m.): MPD is continuing to investigate the fatal shooting that happened today in the 8100 block of W. Villard Avenue. New information has determined this incident to be a homicide. MPD had identified a suspect who is known to the victim and is currently seeking that person. The investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE (4/4/16 at 9:30 a.m.): The 19-year-old male suspect wanted for the March 30 homicide in the 8100 block of W. Villard Avenue turned himself into Milwaukee Police on April 1. MPD will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges this week.
