Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened at about 12:30 p.m. on August 7th in the 2800 block of W. National Avenue. The victim and a friend were walking in the area when two suspects approached them and fired shots at the victim. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening wound and is being treated at a local hospital. According to witnesses, the victim appears to have been specifically targeted by the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 3:30 p.m. on August 7 when a 16-year-old male was shot near S. 28th Street and W. Mitchell Street during circumstances that remain unclear. A citizen began to convey the victim to a local hospital when the victim saw an ambulance in the 2400 block of S. Windlake Avenue and the ambulance transported the victim to the hospital, for nonlife threatening injuries. Milwaukee Police continue to seek a motive and suspects.
