MPD Investigates Shooting, Homicide, Fatal Crash

The Milwaukee Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 6900 Block of W. Villard Avenue at approximately 10:40 p.m. on October 2. The 22-year-old victim from Milwaukee was shot inside of his residence. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear as the victim is being uncooperative. At this point in our investigation, we believe the incident is drug-related. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

MPD is investigating a homicide that occurred shortly before midnight in the 5800 block of W. Roosevelt Drive on October 2. It’s believed the victim was confronted and shot during an attempted robbery. The victim, a 50-year-old woman from Milwaukee was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 1:40 a.m. in the McDonald’s parking lot at 2500 block of W. National Avenue. The early investigation indicates that the victim, a 29-year-old man from Milwaukee and his friend, a 26-year-old man from Burlington, were in the drive-thru when they began to argue. At one point they both exited the vehicle and began to physically fight. After a short time the suspect reentered the vehicle and started to drive away and struck the victim who had jumped in front of the car. The victim died of his injuries at the scene and the suspect remained at the scene and is currently in custody pending the outcome of the investigation.
