MPD Investigates October 12 Homicide, October 12 Fatal Crash

Milwaukee Police are investigating a homicide that happened in the 3300 block of N. Richards Street shortly before 1:30 p.m. on October 12. The victim, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man, and the suspect, a 33-year-old Milwaukee man, began arguing as part of an ongoing dispute and the suspect shot the victim. The victim returned fire and shot the suspect. The victim later died from his injuries. The suspect presented himself at a local hospital for treatment of his injuries and he was taken into custody. The Milwaukee Police Department will present charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that happened in the 1100 block of S. 1st Street shortly before 9:30 p.m. on October 12. A 35-year-old Oak Creek man was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt when it crossed the center line and collided with a 2007 BMW X5 driven by a 33-year-old Milwaukee man. The Oak Creek man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver and his 27-year-old female passenger were not injured. We are working with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine whether the deceased was impaired by alcohol at the time of the crash.
