Milwaukee Police are investigating a homicide after a body was located on the City’s Northwest Side. Officers responded to the 3700 block of W. Villard Avenue around 4:10 a.m. on April 30 after a witness located a man’s body in the street. The victim, believed to be a 32-year-old male, had a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. MPD continues to seek a motive and search for suspect(s).
UPDATE (4/30/18 at 11:30 a.m.): Further investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the apparent gunshot wound was instead trauma consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The victim was not shot. MPD continues to seek the striking vehicle.
