UPDATE: MPD Seeking Car in Hit-and-Run Crash That Injured Crossing Guard

Milwaukee Police responded to the 7200 block of W. Carmen Avenue around 6:25 a.m. on November 10 for a serious hit-and-run crash. An unknown suspect was driving a vehicle and struck a 71-year-old male MPD crossing guard. The driver fled from the scene and the crossing guard suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. MPD is searching for the car and the driver and our investigation is ongoing. The crossing guard has been employed with MPD for nine years.

UPDATE (11/10/17 at 1:20 p.m.): The injured crossing guard is 71-year-old Andrew Tyler (an MPD employee).  MPD is seeking a burgundy, 4-door, 1997-2001 Buick Park Avenue or LeSabre.  Below is a file photo of the car and a surveillance image of the car from this morning.  Anyone with information is asked to call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360.
