Milwaukee Police arrest three suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery just minutes after the crime. Two victims, both 18-year-old men from Milwaukee, were walking in the 2100 block of W. McKinley Avenue at approximately 2:15 pm on February 10 when they were approached by two suspects. One of the suspects was holding a semi-automatic handgun and both suspects stole a cell phone and headphones from the victims. Within minutes of the crime, MPD officers spotted three males matching the description of the suspects and arrested them. The stolen property taken in the crime was found on the suspects. Another cell phone taken in a robbery on January 29 in the 1400 block of N. 25th Street was also found on one of the suspects. Investigators are currently looking to see if the gun used in this crime could have been used in other crimes across the city.
The three suspects are a 13-year-old Milwaukee male, a 15-year-old Milwaukee male, and an 18-year-old Milwaukee man. The two juveniles committed the robbery and the 18-year-old is believed to have provided the gun. The case will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
