Milwaukee Police arrested a suspect following a pursuit that ended in a crash on the City’s West Side. Officers located a vehicle taken in a robbery near S. 6th Street and W. Florida Street around 6:30 p.m. on February 4. The robbery occurred around 6:20 p.m. in the 3300 block of S. 27th Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but it fled from the scene and officers began a pursuit. Near N. 14th Street and W. Wisconsin Avenue, the fleeing vehicle struck the foot of a 19-year-old woman who was crossing the street. She was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries and released a short time later. The vehicle continued to flee and near N. 37th Street and W. Wisconsin Avenue it sideswiped another vehicle. There were no injuries as a result of that accident. Near N. 30th Street and W. Wright Street, a 16-year-old male suspect fled from the auto and was taken into custody. The suspect was not injured. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
