Milwaukee Police, Milwaukee Fire Train Together for Active Shooter Scenario

The Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee Fire Department are currently conducting joint active shooter training.  Sworn members of both departments are participating in this training, representing the ongoing efforts of Milwaukee’s public safety agencies to develop and implement leading-edge cooperative strategies to reduce casualties related to active shooter incidents.  On April 7 and 8, the Milwaukee media was invited to observe law enforcement officers and firefighters working together to save lives at the former Edison Middle School.  Milwaukee Fire Chief Mark Rohlfing and Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn spoke to the media about the importance of this joint training.  Below are links to each station’s story plus the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s article on the event.
