Milwaukee Police Investigate Overnight Shootings

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 3700 block of N. 26th Street at about 3 a.m. on October 17. The victim, a 57-year-old male from Milwaukee, reported to investigators that a suspect attempted to rob him at gunpoint while he was in front of his residence. During the incident the suspect shot the victim, striking him in the thigh. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment where he later died. An autopsy will be conducted by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office to officially determine cause of death. There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 2600 block of W. Fond du Lac Avenue at about 2 a.m. on October 17. Two victims, a 27-year-old male from Milwaukee and a 26-year-old male from Milwaukee, were shot during an apparent exchange of gunfire between the occupants of the car they were riding in and the occupants of another car. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Several arrests have been made and we continue to seek other suspects.

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 1900 block of S. 5th Place at about 7:45 a.m. on October 17. The victim, a 27-year-old male from Milwaukee, was shot during a prostitution-related robbery attempt. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. Currently, there are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
