Identity of Homicide Victim Sought

Milwaukee Police are seeking to identify the victim of a homicide whose partial remains were discovered in a city sewer in the 2100 block of N. 40th St. on May 30, 2012.

With the assistance of the FBI, a post-mortem enhancement has been created to depict what the victim could look like.  Investigators from the homicide unit have attempted to identify the victim by conducting an extensive neighborhood canvass. Detectives have searched missing persons reports, along with various state and national databases. We have checked fingerprint records and even developed a full DNA profile which was subsequently entered into the database of the national DNA missing persons index.

He is believed to a reasonable degree of certainty to be a black male anywhere from 18-80 years old. Please remember, this is only a digital enhancement of what the victim may look like, given the remains that were recovered. Of note, the victim had a spinal fixation device affixed to his cervical vertebrae during a past medical procedure.

We are seeking information from anyone who knows of a missing person who has not yet been reported missing, or on anyone who may be similar in appearance to the digital enhancement of the victim. Anyone with information is asked to call the Milwaukee Police Cold Case Hotline at 414-935-1212.
