On Friday, September 28, 2018, at 10:45 A.M., District 7 officers responded to an apartment fire in the 4000 block of N. 60th St. Upon arrival, Officers Shemia Watts and Reginald Carthen entered the 16 unit apartment building evacuating residents from their home. The fire was so significant that it resulted in $60,000 of structural damages and approximately $30,000 in damages of the victim’s personal property.

While on scene, the officers were informed that the individual responsible for setting the fire was still at the location. Officers Watts and Carthen immediately apprehended the suspect, who was later charged with Arson. Great Job Officers!
