Four Teenagers Arrested, Gun Recovered in Carjacking Investigation

On July 26 around 6:45 p.m., a Milwaukee Police Officer on patrol in District Four saw a car wanted in connection with a recent string of armed carjackings at N. 51st Boulevard and W. Silver Spring Drive. The officers attempted a traffic stop but the subjects fled leading officers on a pursuit lasting six minutes. The pursuit ended when the subjects auto collided with two other vehicles at N. 29th Street and W. Hampton Avenue.  All four occupants of the stolen 2010 Acura, a 15-year-old male, a 16-year-old male, and two 17-year-old males, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were arrested at the scene.  A loaded semi-automatic pistol was recovered from inside the vehicle. Three adult occupants of a 1997 Mercury struck by the Acura also suffered non-life threatening injuries. The lone adult occupant of the second vehicle struck by the Acura was not injured. Our investigation into this incident is ongoing.
