Milwaukee Police arrested five teenagers who were in a stolen car linked to an armed robbery, after fleeing from officers. District Five officers found the 2009 Toyota Prius at about 1:20 a.m. on April 17 in the 3500 block of N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The Prius had been stolen in an armed robbery on April 15 in the 3700 block of S. 88th Street. The car fled and officers quickly located it in the 3200 block of N. 25th Street and took five teenagers into custody. The suspects arrested include two 14-year-old females from Milwaukee, a 16-year-old male from Milwaukee, and two 17-year-old males from Milwaukee. One of the 14-year-old females, an eighth grader, was a passenger in the stolen car that caused a deadly crash on February 22 at S. 84th Street and W. Wilbur Avenue. During an interview with police, another suspect admitted that all the occupants of the car wore gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints. Milwaukee Police will present the case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
