Officers from District Five of the Milwaukee Police Department arrested a convicted felon for his involvement in a shooting incident. Neighbors contacted police after shots were heard in the 3300 block of N. Palmer Street at about 9:15 p.m. on August 27. When officers arrived, they found several casings in a driveway and a bullet hole in a nearby vehicle. Officers stopped a vehicle in the 3200 block of N. Buffum Street and a passenger got out of the car and began to run away. Before being taken into custody, the suspect dropped a semi-automatic pistol. Officers found on the suspect a magazine to the firearm and nearly two grams of marijuana. During the investigation, the victim positively identified the suspect, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man and a convicted felon with a 2012 conviction on a drug offense. Milwaukee Police will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
