Teutonia Avenue just after 6:30 p.m. on April 6 for a report of a burglary. A witness told officers that he was checking on a vacant property when he noticed the suspect come out of the building. The suspect’s vehicle had a large black speaker in it that the witness recognized from the property. The witness called police and when officers arrived they saw the suspect in an adjoining parking lot and took him into custody. The suspect, a 49-year-old Milwaukee man, is a convicted felon and has a criminal record that dates back to 1984. MPD will present the case against him to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
